Regional Services

Regional Service Coordinators assist clients with spinal cord injuries or other physical disabilities in the transition from acute care through rehabilitation and back to the community. The program delivers customized, client-focused solutions to people with unique needs.

CPA Ontario staff are navigators who assist clients to access service where and when needed. Regional Services Coordinators focus on adjustment to disability, caregiver support, housing, employment, funding, education, independent living, equipment, health and wellness. Regional Service Coordinators (RSC) work closely with community partners throughout the continuum of community supports and focus on client centered goals and solutions and navigating system barriers which prevent equitable access to health services, long-term health and quality of life.

CPA Ontario staff work to bridge the gap that exists in maintaining the needs of individuals when they are discharged from acute, rehab or complex continuing care to the community. These services directly support the client and/or family member across the province with 21 staff who are located in all 14 LHINs.(Local Health Integrated Networks). CPA Ontario is a community expert on SCI, providing practical help, advocacy and service to people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities as they integrate into their communities.
Services are available through telephone, email and in person at our offices, in clients homes or at mutually convenient locations. Flexibility is key.

Recognizing that every person and situation is unique, we encourage and support individuals to finding ways to live independently.
