Beach Wheelchairs
Two available beach wheelchairs enable people with mobility disabilities to enjoy Toronto's beaches are now available through City of Toronto, Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department.
The wheelchairs can be loaned for free from the Donald Summerville Pool, 1675 Lake Shore Boulevard E., for up to two hours at a time.
The program runs through the summer.
One of the beach wheelchairs can be reserved up to 24 hours in advance by calling 416-392-7688. The second unit is available on a drop-in basis.
