Types of Memberships

CPA Ontario membership includes individuals with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities, their families and friends, health care professionals (including MDs, RNs, NPs, SWs, OTs, PTs and RTs), corporations and interested members of the general public looking for a place to turn for awareness, education and a sense of community.

We work with members to:

  • Provide a forum to express your ideas
  • Bridge gaps between members and their communities
  • Facilitate social integration and community participation
  • Enhance the quality of life of the membership
  • Cultivate the spirit of mutual help and teamwork
  • Develop member-to-member contact events
  • Provide member education, community data and networking opportunities
  • Ensure that CPA Ontario remains relevant and that members needs remain at the heart of our priority setting

Types of Membership

Individual - $10.00/year - Any individual with a spinal cord injury or other physical disability is given their first year of membership at no cost*.  After your complimentary first year, our annual membership fee is $10.00. Individuals are entitled to all membership benefits. If you are new to membership in CPA Ontario, please contact us at membershipservices@cpaont.org to receive your complimentary first-year membership.

Family - $25.00/year -Two adults and their dependants living in the same household. Each family receives all membership benefits, and voting eligibility for each adult in the household.

Professional - $25.00/year - A single membership designated to a person working as a health care professional (doctor, nurse, nurse practitioner, occupational, physical or recreational therapist, social worker). Professionals are entitled to all membership benefits.

Provincial Corporate - $250.00 - A multiple membership for registered Corporations which provide services and/or products province-wide.  Up to 10 individuals in the company can access mailings and benefits, including Outspoken! magazine.  Only one vote at the AGM is conferred to a designate of the company.  

Regional Corporate - $50.00 - A multiple membership for registered corporations which provide services and/or products to a population defined by CPA Ontario region.  Up to 3 individuals in the company can access mailings and benefits, including Outspoken! magazine.   Only one vote at the AGM is conferred to a designate of the company.
