There are 350 - 400 new spinal cord injuries every year in Ontario (approx. one per day). Please help us in our commitment to provide services and support during every step of recovery.

“You can do whatever you set your mind to. Staying positive is half the battle, it is also important to surround yourself with people who care.” -Josh Dvorkin, CPA Member

Thank you for supporting CPA Ontario. We have been supporting individuals with a spinal cord injury since 1945. In giving to CPA Ontario, you help continue our vital peer support, counseling, information, and advocacy programs.

Other Ways to Help and Get Involved...

Support the journey…Make a planned gift…Build a Legacy

Planned Giving at the Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario

A Planned Gift is a gift you choose to commit to now, but which is realized in the future.

Planned Giving provides a unique opportunity to arrange your future support to the Canadian Paraplegic Association (CPA) Ontario now by designating a future gift to CPA Ontario through a variety of tax-deductible provision.

There are many ways to Make a Planned Gift. The most common methods are:

  • a Bequest by means of your Will
  • a Charitable Gift Annuity
  • a Gift through a Life Insurance policy
  • a Charitable Trust
  • A Gift through your Retirement Fund, including proceeds from Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) or Registered Retirement Income Funds (RRIFs)
  • A Gift of Real Estate.

The best part of Planned Giving is that it does not create an immediate financial obligation or burden to you, but allows you to identify organizations like the Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario that are important to you now, so that you can arrange to support them in the future by leaving a lasting legacy with virtually no cost to you during your lifetime.

Donors who choose to make planned gifts to CPA Ontario automatically become members of the Legacy for Life Society that recognizes those donors who have the foresight to provide for the future. Membership in the Legacy for Life Society provides CPA Ontario with the opportunity to extend its gratitude to individuals who notify us of their thoughtful gift intentions while they are living.

Confirmed planned gifts allow CPA Ontario to develop future programs with confidence - knowing that there will be a future base of support helping to ensure CPA Ontario’s continuing leadership in assisting persons with spinal cord injuries (SCI) and other physical disabilities to achieve independence, self-reliance and full community participation.

Help us plan today for the Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario’s Future.
