Registered Disability Savings Plan
The Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario, Hagi Community Services for Independence, and Persons United for Self-Help in Northwestern Ontario (PUSH Northwest) recently held an information session on the Registered Disability Savings Plan and Hensen Trusts.
The RDSP allows persons with disabilities and their families to contribute to a tax-free savings plan. People under the age of 49 may also receive an annual grant or bond contribution from the Federal government.
Hensen Trusts protect inheritance monies and other financial gifts given to people receiving ODSP or CPP-D benefits.
