No Limits Ski Club Newsletter

No Limits Ski Club is acquiring more adapted equipment to prepare for what we anticipate will be a busy season. Our adapted ski program enables skiers with various disabilities to learn to downhill ski. The sit-ski can accommodate persons with paralysis, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, bi-lateral amputation as well as many other mobility disabilities. We also have equipment to accommodate skiers with a single, lower limb amputation, and skiers who can stand and walk, but are unsteady on their feet. In most cases, skiers can learn to ski independently (without an instructor or volunteer), once skill and individual comfort are achieved. Our certified CADS instructors also have training to teach skiers with vision disabilities by use of a sighted ski guide.
