Registered Disability Savings Plan

The Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSP) is a new investment plan which encourages families and individuals to save for the long term security of persons with severe and prolonged disabilities. It is available to Canadians who are eligible for the Disability Tax Credit.

Did you know that by opening and contributing to an RDSP in 2008, you may be eligible to receive up to $4,500* in Canada Disability Savings Grants and Canada Disability Savings Bonds? In order to take advantage of these for 2008 you must open your RDSP account in 2008. This means that you will need to act quickly.

We have been working directly with BMO Financial Group, the first national financial institution to offer RDSPs in 2008. You can open your RDSP with BMO starting on December 22nd, 2008 even if you are not an existing BMO customer.

Please find below attached relevant information.

If you have any questions about the BMO RDSP or would like to open one today, please contact the BMO Investment Centre at 1-800-665-7700 (Bell Relay number 1-800-855-0511). BMO is here to help make sense of this new savings opportunity. Please refer to the Step by Step Guide attached for more information.
