The Number of Peer Volunteers is Growing in London
Two very full days of peer volunteer training just happened in London. That means that there are even more of us now to serve the community.
The Peer Support volunteers are people with personal experience with a spinal cord injury or other physical disability and who have made positive adjustments. They are willing to share those experiences with others, who face a similar situation.
We have been supportive by offering a monthly group meeting “Life After Rehab at Parkwood Hospital”, meeting one-on-one with people in need and also their family members, co-hosting the patient education series “Living Well” and community Information Forums.
There is always room for more! So why not think about being a peer volunteer? Contact Penny Watson, penny.watson@cpaont.org, 1-866-433-9888 ext. 224
