Wheelchair mobility study at Toronto Rehab- Lyndhurst Centre
Greetings!
The Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, in collaboration with McMaster University and Universite Laval, is currently seeking research participants for a study involving wheelchair mobility in people living with spinal cord injury. This study hopes to enforce the importance of wheelchair skills and how these skills can help to positively influence a person’s level of physical activity and community participation.
This is a great opportunity to test out your skills and understand more about your physical activity level and how it can influence your overall well-being.
What participants will do:
1) Engage in a wheelchair skills test (with trained supervision)
2) Complete questionnaires about physical activity and psychosocial well-being
3) Have an activity monitor for 7 days
Participants will be compensated.
