One of the greatest freedoms afforded to individuals with spinal cord injuries is the ability to drive again and the independence that comes with it. With new technology comes a cornucopia of vehicles and modifications to choose from. From low floor vans to robotic arms and modified standard shifting vehicles, there is no shortage of cars and vans to choose from. Every August our Vehicle Modifications BBQ proves to be our most popular Peer Connection Session. We expect to have 15-20 vehicles accompanied by their respective owners. It’s a rare opportunity to see so many types of modifications not unlike the People in Motion Show, however in this instance you get to ask the owners for feedback about their choice of vehicles, the modifications, costs and the modifier they chose. With the cost of a low floor van starting around $50,000 and going as high as $100,000 it’s a choice you don’t want to make lightly. This year the Vehicle Modification session will be sponsored by Kino Mobility Ontario's leading supplier of Accessible Vans, Vehicle conversions and Driving Aids for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities!

In addition, the following topics will be covered in the seminar:

-What vehicles are available?

-What modifications are available?

-Do I have to drive from my wheelchair?

We look forward to seeing you Thursday August 28th from 5:30-8pm.
