On Thursday, October 30, 2008 in partnership with Motion Specialties Peterborough, Ontario March of Dimes’ Assistive Devices Program (ADP) will be holding a free wheelchair clinic in Peterborough.

The wheelchair clinic will be taking place between 9:30am and 9:00pm at the Lansdowne Place Shopping Centre, located at 645 Lansdowne Street West, Peterborough, (Between Sears and Old Navy on the Upper Level of the mall). People can bring in their manual or power wheelchairs, electric scooter, walkers, canes and more for a maintenance inspection at no charge. Extra parts are not included in the clinic.

In addition to the wheelchair clinic, representatives from the March of Dimes Assistive Devices Program will be on-hand to provide funding consultations for the cost of repairs if needed or the purchase of new devices.

The Assistive Devices Program provides partial funding to more than 1,400 people a year for the purchase and maintenance of equipment such as manual and motorized wheelchairs, lifting equipment, bath aids, seating inserts and wheelchair cushions, canes, walkers and more.

We are asking your agency/organization to post the flyer provided in this package so that your consumers are aware of this free service being provided by March of Dimes.
