CPA Ontario Annual General Meeting coming up fast!

Ann Kennedy's picture

Wednesday, June 22nd is CPA Ontario's 66th Annual General Meeting, here at Lyndhurst, and it's going to be great!  Seriously, I'm really looking forward to this year's event because we're moving into the patient cafeteria (filled with natural light!) for the meeting itself and when we move outside there will be several interactive activities with the emphasis on working together toward a more accessible province for all of us living with a mobility disability!

You'll have the chance to talk to our Executive Director, Bill Adair, one-on-one, or speak your mind on camera with our CPA Ontario TV videogarpher.  You'll also learn about 4 major initiatives our staff have been working on with the provincial government, and get your own copy of the new Physical Activity Guidelines for people with disabilities, and speak to one of the authors herself.

You have to be a member to attend this event, but membership is free for anyone with a disability or if you're on CPP or ODSP--and anyone can be a member!  If you didn't receive an invitation in the mail and think you should have, it's probably because your membership has lapsed, so please call the office at 416-422-5644 and speak to our friendly Membership Volunteer, Mary Lynn.  She can check on your membership status and help you renew if necessary.  Mary Lynn's extension is 243 or you can e-mail her at mary.higgins@cpaont.org.

Oh, by the way, if you DID get your invitation and plan to attend the AGM and BBQ, but haven't yet RSVP'd, please call Mary Lynn and let her know--we don't want to run out of space, hamburgers or veggie burgers!!!

Gotta run for now, but keep collecting those pop tabs and bring them to the AGM on June 22nd for a chance at a really nice prize.  See you there!
